In 1993 I was commissioned by the Danish American Society in New York to design a poster for the commemoration of the Danes helping the Danish Jews to escape to Sweden – 50 years before in October of 1943. (Over 99% of Denmark's Jewish population survived the Holocaust).

The poster was presented at the annual Danish Constitution Day at the Danish Home at Groton on Hudson, New York. This year the man of honor and main speaker was none other than the world known comedian and pianist, Victor Borge. Since I was in South Africa at the time I was suitably represented by my youngest daughter, Lisa, who also managed our joint art exhibit of paintings.
